Join the MEGA Volunteer Network!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the MEGA Family Project. Members of the MEGA Volunteer Network are crucial to the organization’s mission to educate, empower, and strengthen the LGBT community and our families. Behind the scenes, hundreds of volunteers offer their time, talent, and energy to keep the MEGA Family Project and its vital programs running and thriving in our community. Plus, it’s a great way to meet new people and to make a valuable contribution to the community.

Whether you are interested in joining us for a single day, or you are available several times per week, we have a need for your assistance. The MEGA Family Project tries to match your talents, interests, experience, and location with the volunteer work you will do. In this way, the most is made of your contribution. MEGA Volunteer Network members are needed throughout the state, so please consider signing up below.

A sample of some of our volunteer needs are: administrative work; writing for our newsletter, website, Equality Blog, and letters to the editor; outreach work to recruit new members and talk to people about our issues; speaker’s bureau; working on committees to plan events and programs; phone banking; assisting with grant writing and other fundraising efforts; hosting a house party; and serving on the MEGA Family Project Board.
