July 9th, Maybe Baby 7-9pm Meet with MEGA's Executive Director to begin your preliminary journey to explore the options available to LGBT people in starting a family. This will be an intimate discussion about the basics potential parents should know before embarking on their parenting journey. Learn about some of the real issues you will face, how much does it really cost, and get resources to start exploring your journey. This is for anyone who wants to begin exploring the parenting journey. It is meant to give you some basic information about your options for starting a family, dispel myths, and give you a place to discuss what you are thinking and feeling. This group is brand new, but will be meeting the third Thursday of each month for people who are exploring, struggling, or questioning their sexual orientation. This group is for people 18 years and up. Coming Home will meet the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7-8:30pm. It will meet at the Florence McDonnell Center which is at 2215 Cheshire Bridge Road, NE Atlanta, 30324. July 24, 25, 26, MEGA's 4th Annual Family Vacation For the fourth year, families from all over Georgia and the South will gather for the MEGA Family Project’s 4th Annual Family Weekend, a weekend of fun, adventure, and learning. MEGA’s Family Weekend will provide a safe and fun space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender couples, parents, their children, and our friends and family to gather on a beautiful beach destination. It is an idyllic opportunity for our children to meet other children with LGBT parents, and for parents to meet other parents and share experiences. The weekend will be filled with opportunities to celebrate LGBT families and for families to make connections with other families like theirs. Click here to register! August 8th, Savannah Pride Family Area in Forsythe Park One side of the park will be dedicated to families with two bounce houses for different age kids, laser tag, snow cones, clowns, spiderman, crafts, face painting, games, and much more!
